Websites ‘Go Down’ and more often than you think!
What value do you associate with keeping your business website up and running 24/7, 365 days a year?
From managing updates and backups to dealing with security and optimisation, running a WordPress site can be a challenge if you’re not technically inclined. Even if you are technically inclined, it can be very time consuming.
While you’re busy running your own business, routine tasks like software updates and site optimisation are easily put off or ignored altogether.
Websites running outdated versions of plugins, themes or WordPress are usually those that fall victim to hackers and/or cybercrime.
With website optimisation there’s only two factors to consider –
- What your time is worth, and
- How much of it you have available to work on your site/s
To put it into perspective, a monthly ‘Site Care Plan’ will set you back $149 a month. If you’re charging $100+ an hour for your time and these tasks would take you two hours a month, getting someone else to do it for you is a no-brainer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be an existing client?
No. However, if we didn't design & develop your site, we will need to do an extensive site audit first to ensure that the site meets our standards for software compatibility and WordPress security standards. Contact Us for further information.
Can I keep using my current hosting provider?
In most cases yes. There may be a few rare exceptions to this rule, but most web hosting providers should allow us to perform these services without any issue. We will need access to your cPanel account.
My Hosting Provider has offered to do this cheaper!
Many hosting providers and digital agencies often offer to perform software updates for as little as $20-30/mth!
BEWARE!
In most cases they simply enable auto-update on their web server and never touch your site again. Not only is this un-ethical, conflicts between updated versions of WordPress, themes and plugins may cause your LIVE site to go down. When this happens they will restore your site from a backup then tell you to hire a developer to fix the compatibility issues; prompting an expensive trouble-shooting exercise!
At Kracked Kreative, we have real people testing every software update. If there is a conflict, your not left trying to find someone to solve the issues; we'll be your sole point-of-contact through the complete process.
What if there is a software conflict?
If we find a software conflict that causes site failure we will work with the developers of the software to resolve the issue.
This service falls under our WordPress Support Services, however since we manage the software updates manually, we will have a good idea which piece of software is causing the issue, so can contact the relevant developer quickly, without resorting to an expensive troubleshooting exercise. This can save a good deal in developer costs.
